It's hard to believe that they are finally out, but the way it had to go down for this to happen is just plain bullshit.
Only in America do we let innocent people leave prison by pleading guilty! Heaven forbid our justice system can own up to their mistakes. I know Damien was fine with the deal, but it was only because he was on Death Row and in solitary confinement. I admire his humbleness, but at the same time I would have loved to see them all released with an overturned sentenced.
It just goes to show that it was not just about the reparations because they would have been given a nice sum of money. Which they will not get now. Thankfully they have support from celebrities and political activist. I'm sure they'll be getting some sort of payday. I know that a movie is already in the works.
Regardless, I'm happy to see them free. It's been long overdue.
