Has anyone played L.A. Noire yet? I've been taking a break on it lately, but I am about to get back into it shortly. This game is awesome to me. It's not super exciting or I should say action packed, but it makes up for that with the way it keeps you immersed in the investigations. Finding the clues, asking the right questions...etc. Makes this game so different, and satisfying.

I have not played this game.......it looks good, but how are the cinematic scenes in between? Are they long?Tiresome? I remember getting the last Metal gear solid.....and although graphically insane with the cut scenes.....it was like watching a fricken movie. Some scenes went on for what seemed like 15 minutes at time.

This is not an action game by any means. More of a thinking game if anything. There are shoot outs, you can respond to calls...etc, but the main storyline is like an interactive movie.

I downloaded all of the DLC for this game yesterday. Can't wait to play Reefer Madness, but first I have to find the rest of those fucking cars, and now? I have 20 badges to find. So far I managed to find 2 of them. 18 to go! ;D

I have a copy within reach, but I haven't played it yet. My cousin bought it for the PS3, and I'd rather get achievements for it than trophies, but who cares, right?
I watched him play through most of it and it seemed like typical Rockstar fare: very well-written, story driven, and just enough action (in this case, to serve as filler between the cases/case objectives). I really like that the focus isn't on wandering around and mindlessly murdering pedestrians, but rather the story itself. I know I've seen plenty of complaints about that...though I figure the complainers can just as easily rent GTA IV or Red Dead.

The killing pedestrians aspect of GTA is fun....for a minute then it gets old fast. Plus it distracts you from the main gameplay. I like how in this game they kind of take that away from you. Wherein GTA you could jump in a car, and pretty much drive over everything...in L.A. Noire they even keep you from doing that. Kind of like a nudge to say, "HEY! We made a great game here...go play it and quit fucking around!" Yesterday I finished all of my Street Crime missions, and I only need 3 more cars to collect. Then all I will have to do is finish the DLC cases and unlock the last few pesky achievements, and this will most likely be the first game I have ever got all the achievements for. That there says alot!

I'm so close to the absolute end with this game I can taste it. I have 2 dlc cases to go (which both have 5 achievements each), I have to do the 47k in damage achievement and the fucking car achievement (3 away) which will give me my 100% completion achievement....achievement. Figured I would write that one extra time so you can have that word stuck in you heads!
