The first one was good, the second one is great and the 3rd is coming out on my birthday! Can't wait.

I just started playing the first as someone pre-ordered 3 for me for my Bday. It's ok but Ash said the same thing you did, that 2 is great.

The first one gets better as the game progresses. It also has a better final boss battle than two. Part two is fun all the way through. I'm down with some co-op whenever I have time.
