Okay, what is the group's opinion on the remakes of TOTAL RECALL and CONAN the Barbarian coming out next year. Personally I'm kind of intrigued about the things I've heard about Total Recall, the new take on the story sounds interesting. Conan, not so much. I'm having a hard time associating anyone other than Arnold with the role. He looked the way Robert E. Howard described Conan, from the pictures I've seen of Jason Momoa in character he looks more like he should have been cast as Howard's other barbarian Kull and not Conan.

Yeah, the new Conan look kind of lame. I know it's go to be full of gore, but that guy just doesn't fit at all. As far as the Total Recall remake? I really haven't read anything on it yet, but it better be good because the original is one of my favorites of all time.

From what I read they've eliminated the whole Mars angle completely. The story is completely earth-bound and has Colin Farrell as factory worker Douglas Quaid living in the futuristic nation of Euromerica who begins to suspect that he may secretly be a spy working for the country of New Shanghai.

Two things that automatically left a bad taste in my mouth. One? Colin Farrell. He has yet to completely impress me. He has made more ok films than good, and two? No MARS!!! I never read the book it was based on, but even still? That's what made that movie awesome. All of the mutants, the scenes when they were outside with no protection, the constant threat of losing the air or breaking the glass...etc. I'm interested, but I need to see something first.

They are doing "Running Man" from what I've heard Steve.....it was announced a few months back.
As far as Total Recall.......not sure about it yet, but Conan...........meh meh meh. If you can't even cast the lead character properly.....the ship has already sunk.
