Tim Burton and Johnny Depp teaming up......ONCE AGAIN! I'm excited and I am not at the same time. On one hand I could see this fitting Tim's style, but on another? It's another movie with him and Johnny Depp. It's not that I hate him, but it would be nice to see Tim pick someone else for a change. I have a feeling Johnny is going to be bring his character that he used in From Hell mixed with Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow, and I don't know if I am up for that.

Dark Shadows is definitly the type of project that's right up Tim Burton's alley. He has a knack for doing that eerie, gothic, surrealistic feel that Dark Shadows is famous for, so I think Burton was the perfect choice to direct. And, as usual, his choice of casting the supporting roles has been inspiring with the likes of Michelle Pfieffer as family patriarch Elizabeth Collins-Stoddard, Jackie Earle Hayley as Willie Loomis, and Eva Greene as the witch Angelique. It's mainly the casting of Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins that has me worried. I just don't see him being able to pull off the role convincingly. I know he says that he's a huge fan of the original series but is that reason enough for him to have been cast? I don't think so. Of course, as per usual, I'll reserve final judgement until after I've seen a trailer.
